Amos House Collection
The Amos House Collection Vol.1 is a most excellent compilation album from US label Wishing Tree which benefits the Amos House children's hostel in Rhode Island. Departure Lounge contributed the full-length version of 'Straight Line to the Kerb', which is track 1 on the album. Other bands on there include the Lilac Time, Wheat, Spoon and the Aiuminum Group. It was the first release on the label.

Bella Union
Bella Union is the record label run by Simon Raymonde and Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins. Based in Twickenham, they have an excellent and eclectic stable of artists, including the Dirty Three, the Czars, Lift To Experience, the Devics and Violet Indiana. See www.bellaunion.com for more information.

Our partnership with the label goes back to when Simon mixed 'the New You' and 'Music for Pleasure' for 'Out of Here'. Since then Departure Lounge have become part of the Bella Union family, playing at their showcase night at the South By Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas in March 2000 and opening for Violet Indiana at their debut UK show in June, both with Simon Raymonde as guest guitarist.

Our label, Meek Giant, became kind of an 'imprint' of Bella Union, who handled the release of the 'Out of There EP' (featuring remixes by Simon Raymonde) and the limited-edition, vinyl-only 'Goldfield EP'.

Grimsey Records
Grimsey Records is a small, but perfectly formed record label out of Buffalo, NY. Departure Lounge has a vinyl 7" featuring 'Johnny A' (US exclusive, original mix) b/w 'Fortunato' (exclusive b-side) still vailable in selected stores and via www.grimsey.com. "Do not Fear the Future" is an excellent compilation CD featuring exclusive tracks from groups such as Le Mans, Damon and Naomi, and Pinback. It includes the instrumental oddity 'ticketspassportmoney' by Departure Lounge. This is also available via the Grimsey website, and benefits a local children's charity.

Kid Loco
As well as remixing 'Disconnected' and producing 'Too Late to Die Young', Kid Loco borrowed Tim to sing on tracks for his latest album, 'Kill Your Darlings'. They are also rumoured to have formed a splinter group called 'the Gentleman Junkies' Electric Blues Band'. For more information on Kid Loco visit www.kidloco.com

Sing-Sing
Sing-Sing is the band formed by Lisa O'Neill (who sings on 'Out of Here' opening track 'Music for Pleasure') and Emma Anderson, formerly of Lush. By way of returning the favour, Tim duets with Lisa on 'Let's Keep it That Way', the secret track at the end of their forthcoming album, 'The Joy of Sing-Sing'. Lisa also appears on 'Too Late to Die Young'.
